There are handbags that are meant for work and there are handbags that are meant for play. How about a bag that can do both? At first, I didn’t know if that was possible. But when you start to think outside of the box a little bit you start to see an array of possibilities! Take a look at the Christian Louboutin Romeo Spiked Portfolio Clutch, for example!

Lauren Merkin has been hiding in the shadows lately. I see clutches from this designer often, but nothing has really stood out from the typical designs I have come to expect from her. I spotted some animal prints, but that was about as exciting as things were going to get. That is, until now! I stumbled across the Lauren Merkin Molly Clutch and… WOW!

Just about every week I bring you another fabulous design by Rebecca Minkoff and this week is no different. Mrs. Minkoff has released another handbag that is making me drool and it’s the “Love Spell“. What a great name for a bag! It definitely put me in a love spell when I saw it and now I want it! Oh, Mrs. Minkoff release this in black with gold hardware I’m sure it would be a hit! At least it would be with me!
Obviously, what caught my eye about this bag was the ostrich-embossed leather which seems to be everywhere these days? I saw Michael Kors release handbags, shoes and accessories in the ostrich-embossed leather and I wasn’t that much of a fan of it. Michael Kors is one of my favorite designers but he released the collection in very vibrant colors. I’m not a colorful person so of course I wasn’t a fan. Now Rebecca Minkoff’s take on ostrich-embossed leather is fabulous! Not bright and more practical to match when it comes to wardrobe choices.

Recently, I wrote about the Prada Cabochon & Rhinestone Raso Clutch and I made a comment about how Prada had sort of fallen off my radar. Prior to seeing that clutch, nothing Prada had been putting out was doing it for me. I think the same thing has been happening with Gucci. Nothing really has that “wow” factor and the designer just hasn’t been on my radar. Well, until now! Yep, I have finally stumbled upon a Gucci bag that made my jaw drop! Meet the Gucci 1970 Bag in Python!

Perforations are back! At least in the House of Fendi they are. This time around, they arrive with an unusual presentation. A couple of season’s back, we saw the handbag within a handbag trend, a style fond to the peculiar bagista. This season, Fendi has selected both fashion statements and merged them together to create the ‘B Fab’ Perforated Bag. Thoughts? It originally reminded me of the Dooney & Bourke Florentine Collection with its vintage leather body, embroidered front patch and its dangling tassels gave off that impression as well.

Aussie model and Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr was spotted at the airport in Sydney over the weekend. Accompanied by her son, Flynn, she was returning to her hometown where her family resides. Both were dressed in comfy clothing, baby in little sweat pants and mom in a pair of skinny leather pants and a loose fitting tee. What grabbed my attention though was the bag slung over Miranda’s shoulder. That is no baby bag! It’s the Alexander Wang Diego Bucket Bag!

When I discovered the Cambridge Fluoro Satchel, the Kate Spade Essex Scout was the first thing that came to mind. I mean without a doubt the style is identical with minor detail differences here and there. Also the Essex Scout seems to be on the Out over at the Kate Spade headquarters. It appears that there’s only one available, in a beige crocodile print over at Piperlime for $395 – that price tag is about double, making this Cambridge Fluoro Satchel the ultimate look-for-less.
