I remember being in kindergarten (probably the first and second grade too) and making various creations out of colored construction paper. Ah yes, those were the days! The hardest decision I had to make back then was which colors to use in my little projects. I think one of my favorite creations was a construction paper chain. Aussie model and Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr was spotted at the airport in Sydney over the weekend. Accompanied by her son, Flynn, she was returning to her hometown where her family resides. Both were dressed in comfy clothing, baby in little sweat pants and mom in a pair of skinny leather pants and a loose fitting tee. Rebecca Minkoff has been reinventing her collection lately. I am loving all of the fresh, new styles! For her Spring 2012 Collection, she is bringing back fringe, stripes, and (you guessed it) studs! Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of fringe in the fashion world, especially on handbags. The fringe trend is kind of always there, it’s just more prominent at certain times. It’s kind of like the neon trend, always there but sometimes it’s in our face a little too much. I’ve never been a big fan of fringe, so I’ve always stayed away from it. Whenever I see it on shirts, I shake my head. However, I’ve been having a change of heart lately because I love the By Malene Birger “Jahyl Great Nappa” Bag. Not too tacky and oh-so-cute!
I’m convinced Rebecca Minkoff is the queen of designing handbags. Everything she designs is beautiful and worth the money. I just discovered her a few years ago and she’s already at the top of my list of favorite designers. Lately, every single bag she releases I instantly fall in love with it. Now, I’m swooning over the “Stunned” Jess Bag! It’s small, keeps me organized and perfect for those days when I’m in a rush and don’t want to carry much.
I’m not too fond of shoulder bags, but when I see a color combination that is irresistible I can’t help but want the bag. I always love a gorgeous rich color leather and gold hardware. As we know, I always go for black leather handbags but I also like colors they just have to be dark. The Rebecca Minkoff “Swing” Bag, is a perfect example of a stunning handbag in a color I actually like with gold hardware. Perfect!
When it comes to Milly handbags, I normally give them no more than a passing glance. It isn’t that I have anything against the brand. In fact, I often find myself admiring the clothing pieces. It’s just that the handbag line never seems to have that same spark I often associate with the clothing line. The colors are typically neutral and the shapes are nothing special, completely unlike the clothing.
